Earlier this week, I covered online problogging classes in the form of mentoring programs and downloadable ebooks. Your local library and bookstore are also great resources on learning how to blog better:
The IT Girl's Guide to Blogging with Moxie
- I love that this book is targeted towards geeky gals. Even if you’ve been blogging for awhile, you’re sure to learn something from this book.
- WordPress For Dummies
- A good guide for newbies to using self-hosted WordPress blogs, this was helpful when I first starting blogging on a WordPress site.
- Building a WordPress Blog People Want to Read
- If you’re new to WordPress, check this one out as well.
- The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging
- Another good book for newbies as it will show you how to get your blog started, how to market it, and how to grow traffic.
Blogging for Bliss: Crafting Your Own Online Journal: A Guide for Crafters, Artists & Creatives of all Kinds
- If you’re blogging about your crafts, photography or jewelry, you may want to check out this book.
- ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income
- by Darren Rowse of Problogger and Chris Garrett of ChrisG.com. While much of this information is on Darren’s and Chris’s blogs, it’s put together beautifully and precisely in this 220-page paperback. This book is perfect for bloggers who want to learn more about monetization and growing their audience. For intermediate to advanced bloggers.
